Sagi Krispin is a PhD candidate at the European Forum. His research focuses on the Austrian political collective memory of the involvement of Austria and the Austrian people in WWII since the late 1980s, as reflected in public debates around monuments to commemorating persecuted groups. Under the supervision of Prof. Anton Pelinka and Dr Tobias Ebbrecht-Hartmann, Sagi aims to close the gap and increase our understanding of the current situation of the Austrian public memory and shed new light on the connection between politics, public debates and cultural memory and how one affects the others. Sagi holds a Bachler degree in Law and political science as well as master’s degrees in Law and in European Studies.
