Prof Tobias Ebbrecht-Hartmann is an Associate Professor at the DAAD Center for German Studies and in the Department of Communication and Journalism; his interest is in German and European postwar social, cultural and visual history with a special focus on Holocaust memory and the visual history of the GDR. His fields of research, teaching and publication are Digital Memory Culture; Digital and Visual History; Social Media Memory; Algorithmic Cultures & AI; and the Preservation of Digital and Audio-Visual Cultural Heritage.
