Dr Tobias Ebbrecht-Hartmann is a lecturer at the DAAD Center for German Studies and the Department of Communication and Journalism; his interest is in German postwar social, cultural and film history with a special focus on commemorating the Holocaust and on culture and society in the GDR. His fields of research, teaching and publication are German (Film) History; Memory Culture and Cinematic Remembrance of the Holocaust; Israeli-German Cultural Relations and the Preservation of Audio-Visual Cultural Heritage.
