The European Forum celebrated the opening of the 2016/2017 academic year on November 16 with a reception and a concert by the Vienna Philharmonic’s three oboists.

The event, which took place at the Abraham Hostel located in the city center of Jerusalem, was a cooperative presentation by the Center for Austrian Studies at the European Forum and the Austrian Cultural Forum. The event began with greetings by the Austrian ambassador to Israel, Dr. Martin Weiss, emphasizing the importance of Israeli-Austrian relations and the fact that this year marks the 60^th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
