Mauthausen Memorial - An International Memorial Site in Austria

In her lecture, DDr. Barbara Gluck will present the development of Austria's main site of remembrance of the crimes of National Socialism and its victims as well as its importance in national and internationa l context.
After a short reflection of the history of the M a uthausen Concentration Camp, the focus will be on main developments, which have shaped the Memorial since its inauguration. The emphasis of the lecture will lie on the recent developments, which have significantly contributed to the image of this place.
