New Leadership of European Forum: Prof. Gili S. Drori is Replacing Prof. Noam Shoval
Prof. Noam Shoval has been called to take the distinguished office of Provost of the Rothberg International School at HUJI. Prof. Shoval served for the past two and a half years as Director of the European Forum at the Hebrew University. In his new role, Prof. Shoval has taken on the challenge of leading some 2,300 students, from over 90 countries, and charting a path for the expanding of HUJI’s internationalization. We thank Prof. Shoval for his years of labor to expand the mission of the European Forum and for his dedication to solidifying European-Israeli academic ties. We also wish him best of luck in his new role!
Replacing Prof. Shoval is Prof. Gili S. Drori, who until now served as the Head of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Prof. Drori’s research focuses mainly on science, innovation and higher education; globalization, organization, and governance; culture, knowledge and policy regimes. Currently, Prof. Drori is President of the Israeli Sociological Society and active in the European academic community, especially in the European Sociological Association and the European Group for Organizational Studies.
