In memory of former Rector Alfred Ebenbauer, the University of Vienna grants a minimum of two short-term scholarships each year to young scientists for the purpose of funding projects of scientific cooperation between the University of Vienna and Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The scholarships are intended as a contribution to the partnership between the two universities.
Scholarship amount: € 2.000,-- (max.) each
The scholarships may be used for travelling expenses and the costs of a short stay (of approximately one month), but also for the purchase of materials and equipment.

Der Deutsche Bundestag vergibt jährlich das Internationale Parlaments-Stipendium (IPS) an politisch interessierte, junge Hochschulabsolventinnen und -absolventen aus Mittel-, Ost- und Südosteuropa, Frankreich, Israel, den USA und dem arabischen Raum. Das IPS richtet sich an Nachwuchstalente, die sich in ihren Heimatländern aktiv für demokratische Grundwerte engagieren wollen. Der Bundestag gibt diesen jungen Menschen die Gelegenheit, während einer dreimonatigen Tätigkeit bei einem Mitglied des Bundestages das deutsche parlamentarische System und politische Entscheidungsprozesse kennenzulernen und praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich der parlamentarischen Arbeit zu sammeln. Ziel des Programms ist es außerdem, die Beziehungen Deutschlands mit den teilnehmenden Ländern zu fördern und zu festigen. In diesem Sinne erwartet der Bundestag, dass die Stipendiatinnen und Stipendiaten das Wissen, das sie im Rahmen des IPS erworben haben, in ihren Heimatländern umsetzen und anwenden.

The University of Tuebingen will again organize the cultural studies program with language lessons «Jewish Life in Germany». The program will take place from 3 - 17 July 2017 and it is directed at students and graduates of all subjects. In addition to the mandatory German lessons there will be workshops, excursions and discussion rounds on the agenda. A basic knowledge of the German language is essential. The theme-related excursions and workshops will be held in English or will be translated. The participants will be accommodated in host families.

Since 2004 the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia (in the following: NRW) has been carrying out a scholarship programme for students from Israel.
The programme is being implemented by the Heinrich-Heine-University Duesseldorf, who works on behalf of the state government of NRW as the programme coordination office.
The programme offers short-term scholarships for students in bachelor and master degree programmes from selected Israeli universities wishing to pursue studies and research in NRW.
